Robert W. "Bobby" MacVean

BATAVIA - Robert W. "Bobby" MacVean, 63, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 12, 2020, at home in Batavia.

Bobby was born December 4, 1956, in Brockport, son of the late Robert G. and Wanda (Laack) MacVean.

After graduating from Brockport High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He loved classic cars and attending car shows. You may have seen him driving his classic 1961 Ford Starliner.

Surviving are his sisters, Martha (Hubert) Pinto of Naperville, Illinois, and Abby (Raymond) DelaMotte of Painesville, Ohio; nephews, Adam (Victoria) DelaMotte, and Noah MacVean; a great-nephew, Joseph Cunningham; and cousin, Toby (Barb) Unger. 

Bobby is preceded in death by his brother, John MacVean; nephews, Alexander DelaMotte, and Seth Cunningham; his parents; and grandparents, William and Madelyn Laack.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Genesee County Mental Health Services for the care they provided to Bobby for many years, especially Kate, Chrystal, and Carrie.

A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Rest Cemetery, Bergen where Bobby will be laid to rest.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bobby’s memory may be made to the Alexander DelaMotte Scholarship, c/o Lake Erie College, 391 W. Washington Street, Painesville, OH 44077, or to a charity of your choice.
