DOUGLAS P. PAILLE

Batavia/Oakfield - Douglas P. Paille, age 80, of Batavia, longtime resident of Oakfield and proprietor of Paille Express, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at Suzanne's Comfort Care House in Perry.

Mr. Paille was born March 6, 1940, in Batavia, the son of the late Homer K. and Mary Stebbins Paille.

A longtime resident of Oakfield Mr. Paille was a member and past president of the Batavia Area Jaycees and member of the Rotary Club of Batavia. A member and trustee of the Oakfield Presbyterian Church, he also served as trustee for the Village of Oakfield. He loved music and played tenor saxophone for many bands including Little Jake and The Blenders. A licensed pilot, he loved flying and restoring classic cars.

He is predeceased by his wife, Sally VanKouwenberg Paille, who passed away on January 29, 1993.

He is survived by his children: Kim (David) Kibler of Oakfield, Mark (April) Paille of Batavia, Tracie (James) Caswell of Batavia and Kirk (Amy) Paille of Naperville, Illinois; eleven grandchildren: Zackary (Samantha) Kibler, Douglas Kibler, Jared Kibler, Derek Kibler, Noel Yott, Nicole Paille, Kyle (Hillary) Paille, Alexis Paille, Justin (Kaylin) Hamilton, Nathan Hamilton and Katelyn Hamilton and six great-grandchildren; Zeus, Zoey, Sadie and Sofia Yott, Jace Maid and Stella Paille.

Doug's family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to Suzanne's Comfort Care House in Perry for the loving and compassionate care he received.

There will be no prior visitation. A public celebration of life will be held at Mark Paille's home, 208 Elm Street on Saturday, August 29th from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Private burial will be in Cary Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Contributions in Douglas's memory may be made to Suzanne's Comfort Care House, 167 North Main Street, Perry, New York 14530.
