Charles M. Mogavero

Charles M. Mogavero, 73 of Batavia, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Millard Fillmore Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on January 13, 1947 in Batavia, to the late Samuel (Mary Rose Recchio) Mogavero. He is preceded in death by his wife Kathleen (Rybarczyk) Mogavero and brother Ralph “Rick” Mogavero.

Mr. Mogavero retired from the University Police Department at UB. He is a United States Navy Veteran. Charlie was active in volunteering at the Ricky Palermo Spinal Injury Golf Tournament. He was a devoted father, grandfather and brother.  

Charlie is survived by his children Sam (Kristi) Mogavero of Batavia; Janine (Brian) Wilson of Indianapolis, IN; step-children Scott (Melissa) Rybarczyk of Amherst; Lisa (Ben) Barnhardt of Buffalo; brother Matt (Paula) Mogavero of Gilbert, AZ; uncle Matt Recchio of North Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren, Sam, Natalie, Alex, Carter and Henry, along with many nieces and newphews.  

There will be no prior calling hours. Funeral Services will be held privately for the family.
