Christine E. Hemmer

Christine E. Hemmer, 55, of Buffalo, passed away suddenly on October 3, 2020 at Buffalo General Hospital.

She was born March 1, 1965 in Hawaii, the youngest daughter of James Hemmer and Mary (Mastin).

Christine had a great love for her two daughters and her beloved dogs, Samson, Delilah, and Miley. She was an avid animal lover that believed in helping any animal she came across. She also had a passion for gardening and loved flowers and decorating her new home.

Christine is survived by her loving daughters, Megan Hemmer and Lauren Stansberry who thought of their mother as their best friend; her parents James (Margaret) Hemmer and Mary (Bob) Newland; her sister Laurie (Gary) Cohen: along with her nieces and nephews; Olivia, Zachary, Justin, Alesha, Corey and her great niece; Autumn.

Christine was preceded in death by her older brother, James, in 2014.

While Christine’s family grieve her loss immensely, they are choosing to remember Christine in a way that honors her spirit.

Family and Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church, 3515 Galloway Road in Batavia, where Christine's Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Batavia.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Volunteers for Animals at www.vol4animals.org.
