Norman Dusen

East Pembroke - Norman Dusen, 80 of East Pembroke, passed away on Wednesday, (October 7, 2020) at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia.

Mr. Dusen was born January 6, 1940 in Batavia, a son of the late Lloyd and Lois (Scoins) Dusen.

Mr. Dusen was a member of the Oakfield United Methodist Church.  He was a lifetime member of the East Pembroke Fire Department, Oakfield Rod & Gun Club, and Godfrey's Pond.  He was a member of the Genesee Society of Model Engineers in Oakfield.  He is a former member of Pioneer Youth Athletics where he was a Football Commissioner and Softball Coach, he is a former Boy Scout Leader in South Byron and East Pembroke.

The Dusen family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff of UMMC's 2nd Floor, the ICU, and Wound Clinic.

Norman is the husband of Marilyn (Jackett) Dusen.

Surviving along with his wife are his children, Lynda Dusen of Stafford and Timothy Dusen of East Pembroke; his sister, Elaine (Tony) Barniak of Batavia; a sister-in-law, Shirley Jackett of Hornell.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Gary and Kenneth Jackett.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, October 17, 2020  from 10:00 am  to 12:00 pm  at Oakfield United Methodist Church, 2 South Main Street in Oakfield where Norman's Funeral Service will immediately follow at 12:00 pm. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery in Elba.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East Pembroke Fire Department, Oakfield United Methodist Church, or PHS Pink Game.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, the church will be restricted to 33% occupancy.  Face coverings and social distancing will be required.  We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
