Peter E. Reynolds

Peter E. Reynolds, 81 of Attica, died Saturday, November 28, 2020 of complications from COViD-19. He was born in Auburn, NY the youngest son of the late Hobart (Frances Thomas) Reynolds. He is preceded in death by his two brothers, Robert “Fluff” Reynolds and Richard “Dick” Reynolds, sister-in-law Jean Reynolds, niece Susan Neeley and nephew John Reynolds.    

Pete was a proud American and served in the United States Army. He was a past president of the American Legion Harder-O’Donnell Post No 734 in Attica. He retired as a 3rd generation Corrections Officer from NYSDOC with 30 years of service working at Sing Sing, Attica and Wyoming Correctional Facilities.

Pete was an accomplished golfer for 69 years and past member of the Attica Golf Club. He had a deep passion for his model railroad and assembling model military vehicles, he has donated a display at the Medina Railroad Museum. Pete was also a member of Attica Heraldaires Drum Corps.  

Peter is survived by his sons Jeffrey Reynolds, Peter (Eva) Reynolds, grandchildren Christopher Reynolds, Chelsea (Ryan) Peyman, Kristina (Andrew) Atchinson and Elle Reynolds, sister-in-law Joan Reynolds, nephews James and Joseph Reynolds, niece Shelagh Cacioppo and Robert Neeley and his daughter Shelagh; two great-grandsons Ryan and Evan Peyman.

There will be no prior calling hours. A Celebration of Pete’s Life will be held at a later date. He will be laid to rest in Forest Hill Cemetery, Attica.
