Batavia - Evelyn V. Krauss, age 82, of Batavia, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at the New York State Veterans Home.
Mrs. Krauss was born on Wednesday, November 23, 1938 in North Tonawanda, a daughter of the late Carlyle W. Edwards and Juanita Marleah Aldridge Edwards.
A veteran of the United States Navy, she worked for the Holiday Inn in Batavia for many years.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, John I. Krauss of Batavia; two sisters; Carolyn Parton of Bergen and Jean Farrar of Kansas along with nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is predeceased by her siblings, Allan Edwards and Marilyn Ellithrop.
There are no prior calling hours. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. She will be laid to rest in the Western New York National Cemetery, Corfu. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the activities fund at the New York State Veteran's Home, 220 Richmond Avenue, Batavia, New York 14020.
