Betty Eleanor Hofmaster

Batavia - Betty Eleanor Hofmaster, 92 of Batavia,  passed away on Thursday, (December 17, 2020) at her home while under the care of HomeCare & Hospice and her family.

Ms. Hofmaster was born  May 21, 1928 in Batavia, a daughter of the late James Sack and Christine (late Henry "Hank") Richley.

Betty worked in the cafeteria at the former St. Jerome's Hospital and enjoyed gardening and loving on her children and grandchildren. She took great pride in caring for her lawn, and loved shoveling snow. She was proud to have both mowed her own lawn and shoveled her own snow until she was 90. Betty was an avid baker and regularly made bread, pies, and cookies for her family.

Surviving are her children, Paul (Beth) Hofmaster of Batavia, Kathleen (Todd) Adams of Puyallup, Wash., and Joel (Michelle) Hofmaster of Batavia; grandchildren, Colleen (fiance Mike Byron) Kraus, Andrea Hofmaster, Robert (Adrianna Koslan) Hanenkrat, Eric Hanenkrat, Thomas (fiance Michelle Stefko) Hofmaster, Sarah LaPolla, and Ronin Hofmaster; brothers, Ronald (Priscilla) Richley of Maine, Darrell (Linda) Richley of Corfu; sisters, Mary (late Adam) Kocol of Corfu, June (David) Pann of Akron, and Sandra McMullen of Florida. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Betty is preceded in death by a sister, Barbara (late David) Hennig.

There will be no visitation. A private graveside service will be held in Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Corfu at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
