Donald O. Packman

Donald O. Packman, age 84 of Perry, NY passed away on Friday December 18, 2020 at the Wyoming County Nursing Facility in Warsaw. He was born in Akron, NY on June 23, 1936 a son to the late Orrin and Dorthea (Hornung) Packman.

Don served with the US Army. He was an Insurance and Real Estate agent for the former Youngs and Linfoot Co. in Perry, he also was a Race Track Official for the Wyoming County Speedway, Lancaster, Holland and Genesee Racetracks. He was a member of the Perry Rotary Club, Caring About Perry, Foar-Score and the former Kiwanis Club in Perry. He volunteered for the Community Clothes Closet in Perry. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, was an avid racing, Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres and former Buffalo Braves fan. He would be seen at all of his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. Family was a huge part of his life.

He is survived by 2 daughters: Dawn (Martin) Lilly of Oswego, Darcy (David) Conaway of Silver Springs, 2 sons: David (Pamela) Packman of Phoenix, Az. Douglas (Robin) Packman of Perry, a brother: Richard “Dick” (Juanita) Packman of Akron, 8 grandchildren: Dakota (Lexi) Packman, Brittni (Steven) Jennings, Caitlin, M.J. and Troy Lilly, Blake, Brock, and Lydia Conaway, 2 great grandchildren: Dakota and Blair Jennings, Nephews: Jim and Jason Majchrzak, Tim and Jim Packman and niece Missy Buckley along with many friends.

Along with his parent he is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Diana (Majchrzak) Packman who passed away in 2007 and a great granddaughter: Brielle Jennings.

Family and friends may call from 12:00 Noon – 4:00PM on Sunday December 27th at Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main St in Perry, where Funeral Services will follow at 4:00PM. A Celebration of Don’s Life will be held in the summer of 2021. Donald will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Perry, NY
