  Michael W. Porter, 65, of Churchville, passed away on January 26, 2021 at Unity Hospital, Rochester. He was born on July 24, 1955 in Batavia, to the late Carlton J. “Jack” Porter, Jr. and Dorothy (Klimajeski) Porter. He is predeceased by his brother, Stephen J. Porter and niece Dorothea Johnson.

Mike was a life-long farmer and owner of Porter Farms in Elba. He was an avid hockey fan, player, coach and supporter. His son Stephen now plays the game he loved so dearly. Mike was a loving husband and father.  

Mike is survived by his beloved wife Debbie (Beauregard) Porter, son Stephen A. Porter, siblings, Mary Elizabeth “Bess” (Eric) Johnson, Julie Porter, Beatrice Porter, Emily (Scott) Swarner, sisters-in-law, Kathleen Porter, Susan (Tim) Turner, JoAnne (Bill) Rogers, Nancy (Donald) Verni, Lisa (Todd) Heydt, nieces, Katherine (Peter) Metzler, Sarah (Josef Bartels) Porter, Zoe Johnson, Natalie Swarner, Gina & Olivia Verni, Tonya Erdle, nephews, Mark & Ben Heydt, great-nieces, Cora, Suzanna, Georgia Metzler, cousin Peter Zegler. Many dear friends, Daniel (Penny) Mudrynski, Robert (Sue) and Dennis (Charlene) Schultz, Matt (Shannon) Kyle, Kathy Riggs (Mark) Allen, Ben (Laura) Thering and many others. 

An 11:00 AM Celebration of Mike’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the farm in Elba. Farm attire is encouraged and masks will be required.
