Mrs. Ruth Mary Vogt Werner, 95, of Attica, passed away on February 28, 2021 in Perry, at Suzanne’s Comfort Care Home, Inc. She was born February 14, 1926 in Buffalo, the daughter of late Joseph L. and Effie T. Spitzer Vogt. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Luther Werner of Attica, siblings, Sr. Jean Baptiste OFS, Betty Bischof and Joseph M. Vogt.

An avid artist, she received many awards for her watercolor paintings. She was a former Regent Catholic Daughters, Eucharist Minister, lector and leader of Renew groups and bible study at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Attica.

Surviving are her five sons and daughters-in-law; Carlton R. (Edith) Werner, Roger F. (Nancy) Werner and W. Randall (Sean) Werner, all of Orangeville, Loren G. (Peggy) Werner and Eric J. (Lisa) Werner, both of Attica; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren.  

Friends are invited to call on Thursday, March 4, 2021, from 4-7 PM at Marley Funeral Home, 135 Main in Attica. An 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Sts. Joachim & Anne Parish, 50 East Ave, Attica. She will be laid to rest in St. Vincent’s Cemetery, Attica.
