Bruce H. Merle, 76 of Attica, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021. He was born January 18, 1945 in Warsaw, to the late Arthur E. (Florence C. Chamberlain) Merle.   

Bruce was a very involved member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Attica. He taught tractor safety for 4-H for many years, he was a FFA Officer with the local chapter and State Association. Mr. Merle farmed his whole life, a book of knowledge that enjoyed working on machinery, running loaders, his tractors and planting corn until all hours of the moring. He was a dedicated family man, always supporting their athletics and other ventures.

Bruce is survived by his beloved wife Nancy L. (Steaderman) Merle; children Brent (Jaime) Merle, Todd (Lynette) Greene, Cindy (Steve) Crowley; siblings Phyllis (Charles) Couture, Milton (Mary Kautz) Merle, Douglas (Sara) Merle, Lyle (Dottie) Merle, sister-in-law Marlilee Merle; grandchildren Nathan, Emily, Kayla, Sarah (Joe), Miranda (Jeff), Evan, RJ, Stephanie (Josh); great-grandchildren Hazel, Cailee, Analeese, Reva, Olivia, Jackson, JJ, Ava, along with many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Monday, March 8, 2021 from 4 to 7 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church, 75 Main St, Attica, NY 14011 where a 10:00 AM Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. He will be laid to rest in Pleasant View Cemetery, Attica.
