Glenn R. “G.R.” McDonald, 73 of Bennington, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 peacefully at his home with his family by his side. He was born on January 25, 1948 in Bennington to the late Glenn H. (Loretta Schmitt) McDonald.

Mr. McDonald worked for 48 years at National Fuel, he was a past member of Bennington Fire Compay and proudly served in the National Guard. He loved horses, was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a farmer through and through. Glenn was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.  

He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Margaret A. (Keene) McDonald, children Jonelle (Jayme) Carnahan, Adam McDonald all of Bennington, siblings, Loraine Dunker of Clarence, Marlene McDonald of Fresno, CA, Richard (Donna Mae) McDonald of Bennington, Patricia Pruyn of Buffalo, grandson Dylan along with many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 1230 Clinton St. Rd., Attica, NY 14011. He will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Bennington.
