William J. Rodgers

William J. Rodgers, 80 of Akron, passed away peacefully Thursday (May 20, 2021) at his residence under the loving care of his family and Hospice.

He was born April 20, 1941 in Batavia, NY, a son of the late William and Catherine Schumacher Rodgers.

William was employed by the Town of Newstead Highway Dept. prior to his retirement. He enjoyed woodworking and was an outdoorsman.

Survivors include his sons, James (Chrys) Rodgers of North Carolina and Michael (Janet) Rodgers of Akron. Daughters, Kelly (Greg) Stahl of Pennsylvania and Melissa Rodgers of Amherst. Sisters, Ann Chalmers of Akron and Kathy Shepard of LeRoy. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and his dogs, Shorty and Sparky.

He was predeceased by wife, Nancy Bane Rodgers and his brother, Richard Rodgers.

Family and friends are cordially invited to share thoughts, condolences and fond memories on Sunday (May 23rd) from 3-7pm at the J. LEONARD McANDREW FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 32 JOHN ST., AKRON, NY, where funeral services will be Monday at 11:00am.
