Clifford H. Thompson

  Clifford H. Thompson, 96, of Bergen passed away peacefully on Sunday June 6, 2021 at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home. He was born on December 5, 1924 in Batavia to the late Glenn and Zelda (Haywood) Thompson. In addition to his parents, Clifford was predeceased by his loving wife; Arlene (Luplow) Thompson; sons Wayne and Scott Thompson; brother Bob Thompson and sisters Ruth Johnson and Martha Thompson.

Clifford was a United States Army veteran during WWII earning 3 Bronze Star medals. He was a farmer, a school bus driver and worked for many years at the United Methodist Church in Batavia. Clifford enjoyed to travel in his younger years and loved spending time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his daughter in law; Robin Thompson of Bergen; sister in law Mary Thompson of Elba; grandchildren Steven Thompson and Mary Thompson; 1 great-granddaughter Madison Tryon, along with several nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior calling hours. A 10:00AM Graveside Service will be held on Friday June 11, 2021 at Grandview Cemetery on Clinton St. in Batavia.
