Batavia PD Chief Mark L. Robinson (Ret)

LeRoy - Retired City of Batavia Chief of Police Mark L. Robinson passed away unexpectedly at his residence on September 7, 2021.

 A 30 year veteran of the Batavia force Mark was predeceased by Karen his loving wife of 51 years.

 Mark is survived by his children Mark (Kathy) Robinson and Kellie (Jamie) Baker as well as his brothers Richard (Cindy) Robinson, Kevin (Susan) Dowd, his nephew Scott Giddings, his grandchildren Peyton and Trevor Robinson along with several other nephews and nieces.

 A 1968 graduate and class president of LeRoy Central School, Mark was a key member of both the LeRoy basketball and football teams, for which he served as team captain.

 As a police officer, a little league coach, a husband, a grandfather and father Mark was known as honest, direct, hard working, sarcastic and loyal leader!

Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday (September 22, 2021) from 3 to 6:30 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street in Batavia, where a brief non-denominational service will follow from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. Mark has donated his body to the UB School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting any donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Mark’s memory.
