
Mary Anne was born in Batavia, to the previously deceased John and Gladys (Chaya) Balbick. She is survived by her husband Ronald, son Matthew (Theresa), son Richard (Emily), daughter Stephanie (Chris Miller), grandchildren Eleanor, Garrett and Levi. Mary Anne is the sister of Robert (Jane) Balbick, Elizabeth (Derek) Genesky and Nancy (Ed Schichtel) Balbick.
Mary Anne graduated from Rosary Hill College and University of Buffalo. She held teaching and library positions at a number of schools, retiring from Attica High School as the Library Media Specialist. Mary Anne loved golf, biking, sporting events and most importantly spending time with her family. Her many hobbies included photography, knitting and sewing, cooking, gardening and reading.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 4 to 8 PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main St., Batavia, NY 14020. A 9:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Resurrection Parish, 303 E Main St, Batavia, NY 14020. She will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum, Batavia.
