Lillian B. “Lil” Weaver

Basom – Lillian B. “Lil” Weaver, age 99, of Alabama, NY, passed peacefully on October 7, 2021, surrounded by family.

Pre-deceased by her husband, Edward C. Weaver Sr.; and sons, Earl and Edward C. Jr. “Bud”; and son-in-law, John Jaszko.

Survived by sons, Lee (Marlene) Weaver, and Brian (Sherry) Weaver; daughters, Barbara Jaszko and Nancy Dunn; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Lillian was born May 16, 1922, in Rochester, NY, the daughter of Arthur Bell and Bertha Ann (Clarke) Henry. She had polio as a young child and grew up in the Great Depression. She married Edward C. Sr., on May 1, 1938, they welcomed 6 children and went on to have 103 descendants. Lillian was an avid bowler, participating on teams in many leagues over the years until the age of 84. Lil was always up for a card game and looked forward to playing cards with the family any chance she got. She would make pies for the extended families for holidays and canned many fruits and vegetables, she would zip right through peeling a batch of any fruit or vegetable.

Family will receive friends and family on Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 3-7 pm; Funeral services on Friday, October 15, 2021, at 11 am at Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Ave, Oakfield, NY 14125. Private burial for the family will take place immediately following. Lillian will be buried at the Alabama Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lillian’s memory may be made to Mercy EMS, 8050 Call Pkwy, Batavia, NY 14020, or to Alabama Fire Department, 2230 Judge Rd, Basom, NY 14013.
