Raymond Follaco

Batavia ~ Raymond Follaco, age 91, passed away Sunday morning (Nov. 7, 2021) at the New York State Veterans Home in Batavia.

   

  He was born December 25, 1929 in Rome, Italy, a son of the late Carlo and Emma Canzanella Follaco.

     Ray will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who followed all his grandchildren's school and sporting events.  He was a proud Navy veteran as well as a gifted craftsman, having built and remodeled homes, along with furniture and guitars.  He was also an avid fisherman, a great golfer and a voracious reader.

     He will be sadly missed by his daughters, Paula (William) Wade of Rochester and Rochelle A. (Dr. Barry) Clark of Wellsboro, PA; grandchildren, Charles (Elizabeth) Wade, Ethan (Brenna) Wade, MaryCatherine (Michael) Neumann and Patrick (Emily) Clark; great-grandchildren, Charlotte, June, Griffin, Cooper, Liam, Lillian, Olivia, Josephine, Eli, and Tess; sisters, Celia (late Joe) Nesser of Pittsford and Carol (Clem) Suero of Rochester; special friend, Ron Chrzanowski, special care provider, Karen Mills, along with many nieces and nephews.

     In addition to his parents, Ray was predeceased by his wife, Joan Saetta Follaco, his brother, Louis (late Anna) Follaco and sister, Rose (late Charlie) Paparone.

     Family and friends may call on Saturday, Nov. 20 from 10 ~ 11:30 A.M. at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake St. Rd. (Rt. 19), LeRoy, where services and military honors will be held at 11:30 A.M.  The wearing of masks would be appreciated by the family.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the NYS Veterans Home at Batavia, Attn: Sally Phelix, 220 Richmond Avenue, Batavia, N.Y. 14020 - Kindly indicate "Raymond Follaco" in the memo line.
