Lydia A. Fisher

Lydia A. Fisher, 74, of Batavia, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at her home.

Lydia was born on December 3, 1946, in Batavia, a daughter of the late Rudolph and Edna Yutzy Chupp. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Robert H. Fisher and her brother John Chupp.

Lydia worked for the Batavia City School District as a teacher’s aide. She was a big fan of the Batavia Muckdogs. Everything Lydia did, was for the joy and love of her grandchildren.

Lydia is survived by her children; Anne Fisher, Bob (Kristine) Fisher and Steven Fisher all of Tennessee, David (Rachel) Fisher of Batavia and Christine (Johnny) Thorpe of Texas; 10 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter; her siblings, Verda (late Michael) Rentschler, William (Sandy) Chupp, Elsie Beach, Jerry Chupp, Sylvanus (Donna) Chupp and Daniel Chupp. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Family and friends may call Friday, November 19, 2021, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the C. B. Beach & Son Mortuary, Inc., 4 East Main Street, Corfu, NY. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Akron, 122 Main Street, Akron, NY. Burial will follow in Alden Union Cemetery, Alden, NY.
