Mr. Shownes was born November 25, 1957 in Syracuse, a son of the late Charles A. Shownes Sr. and Doris (Cordell) Armstrong.
Chuck had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed treasure hunts. He was non-judgemental and a rock that held the family together.
He was the husband of the late Terry (Bigelow) Shownes who passed away on January 1, 2022.
Surviving are his daughter, Natalie Bigelow of Amherst; sisters, Jeannette (late Joe) Grammatico of Syracuse, and Georgia (Mike) Frey of Central Square. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, (January 11th, 2022) from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street in Batavia, where Chuck's Funeral Service will immediately follow visitation at 7:00 pm. Burial will be in Warsaw Cemetery in Warsaw.
