Ronald James Hochmuth, Sr.

Oakfield - Ronald James Hochmuth, Sr., 89 of Oakfield, passed away on Tuesday, (February 1, 2022) at his home.

Mr. Hochmuth was born October 28, 1932 in Buffalo, son of the late Margaret Hochmuth Martin.

He was a parishioner of St. Padre Pio Parish - St. Cecilia's Church where he was involved in various ministries. He and his wife Bernice, enjoyed traveling and were fortunate to have visited Europe. They also enjoyed camping at Wood Stream in Gainesville. Ron liked working outside and was very active with the former St. Patrick's Church in Wheatville. He was a Cub Scout Master in Buffalo for many years. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Bernice M. (Gross) Hochmuth whom he married October 13, 1951; a son, Ronald J. (Susanne) Hochmuth, Jr. of Chaumont; daughters, Debra A. (David) Palone of Oakfield, and Jacqueline J. (Samuel) Lindke of Alabama. 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren also survive.

Mr. Hochmuth is preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Marie Sage, who passed away May 31, 2005.

There will be no visitation. Family and Friends are invited to attend Ronald's Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Padre Pio Parish - St. Cecilia's Church, 56 Maple Avenue in Oakfield.  Burial will be in St. Cecilia's Cemetery in Oakfield.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 6215 Sheridan Dr #100, Buffalo, NY 14221.
