He grew up truly understanding the importance of family as one of the ten Cole children. Ted was predeceased by three of his brothers; Mr. Walker Cole, Mr. Allen Cole, and Mr. Wydell Cole, and five sisters; Ms. Addie-Mae Cole, Mrs. Bonndie Gaymon, Mrs. Victoria Reese, Ms. Leola Cole, and Pastor Hazel Tucker. He leaves behind his beloved sister Mrs. Betty Martin, brother in law U.J. (Annie Ruth) Jones, and sister in law Dorothy Billington.
Ted and his wife Bernice were married in 1957 and had seven children together; Ellouise Evans (Victor-predeceased), Michael Cole (Betsy), Helen Allen (Cyrus-Predeceased), Curtis Cole, Gregory Cole-predeceased, Timothy Cole- predeceased, and Jeffery Cole (Liz). He also leaves behind seven grandchildren; Marya, Darius, Kristen, Sierra, Kiesha, Dominique, Labue, Gregory, Stephen, Bunnie, Connie, Kan, Trevor, Jeff Jr. Jordan, Craig, and Tobot. He also leaves behind over twenty-three great grandchildren, and a whole host of nieces and nephews.
His loss is felt throughout the entire family and he will be missed eternally. The comfort to the family comes with knowing he was reunited with his wife, children, and family.
Friends and family are invited to calling hours from on Monday February 14, 2022 from 10:00-11:00AM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main St. Batavia, New York 14020, where a Funeral Service will immediately follow visitation at the Funeral Home. A Repass will follow Services at Batavia Downs Racetrack.
