Catherine S. Weibel

Catherine S. Weibel, 89, of Oakfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at United Memorial Medical Center, Batavia.

She was born on March 18, 1932, in Buffalo, a daughter of the late Nelson and Marie Schlehr Wheaton. Catherine was the beloved wife of the late Alfred C. Weibel.

She first worked at Prudential and then worked the farm alongside her husband for many years. Catherine then went on to be a home health aide for WillCare in Buffalo for 20 years. She was a longtime devoted member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish. She was active many parish ministries, including Martha’s Table, Legion of Mary and was an Extraordinary Minister.

Surviving are four sons, Mark D. (Helen) Weibel, Robert D. Weibel, Frank D. (Darlene) Weibel and Nelson D. (Donna) Weibel; three daughters, Margaret A. (Tom Brunner) Weibel-Brunner, Mary Ann (Douglas) Calkins and Arlene A. (Joseph) Jewett. 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren also survive.

Family and friends may call Friday, March 4, 2022, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the C. B. Beach & Son Mortuary, Inc., 4 East Main Street, Corfu, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 5th at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 8656 Church Street, East Pembroke, NY. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.
