Mrs. Teresa (Tre) M. George

In loving memory of Teresa (Tre) M. George age 65 from Oakfield New York now resting peacefully with our Lord. Teresa is survived by her daughter Nina (Tony) White, granddaughter Natalia and son Jerome George.  She was predeceased by her husband John J. George and brother Peter Severino.  Surviving family includes her parents Nicolo and Mary Severino and siblings Joseph (Sheri) Severino, Christine (Randy) Bow, Rosemary (Norm) Geiss, Maria (Darin) Waite, Nicholas (Robin) Severino, Rafaline (Greg) Shilvock, and Jerry (Dorine) Severino along with several nieces and nephews. Teresa graduated from McAuley School of Nursing in 1980. Teresa spent most of her career employed at Saint Jerome’s Hospital as an LPN forming lifelong friendships with fellow nurses. She also worked as a Home Health Care Aide.  Teresa, a nurse throughout her whole life, touch the lives of so many families especially caring for her own nephew Justin “Goose”. Teresa will always be remembered for her free spirit including her unique style in clothing and gift giving. She loved her music listening to local bands and classic rock of Fleetwood Mac and James Taylor.  Teresa loved her pets, often adopting and rescuing animals that others would turn away.  The family wants to express deepest gratitude to all those who cared for Teresa in her final days, especially Crystal and the Alabama Volunteer Fire Department.

Calling hours will be held at Burdett & Sanford Funeral home in Oakfield, New York on Friday April 8th from 4 – 6 p.m. followed by a service to honor Teresa’s memory.  She will be laid to rest at St. Cecilia’s Cemetery, Oakfield.
