Richard L. Hale

Corfu - Richard L. Hale, 74 of Corfu passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, (April 5, 2022) at his home in Corfu.

Mr. Hale was born February 27, 1948 in Batavia, a son of Norma (Foster) Hale of Batavia and the late LaVerne Hale.

Richard was a parishioner of Resurrection Parish, a veteran of the US Navy, and a retiree of Genesee Community College where he was a maintenance mechanic for 30-years. He was an avid model car enthusiast; attending car shows to both buy and sell model cars. He was a gifted carpenter and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is the husband of the late Sheila (Pribison) Hale. He is also preceded in death by his son, Jason C. Hale, and brother, Daniel Hale.

Surviving along with his mother is his daughter, Jacqueline (Douglas) Ferris of LeRoy; grandsons, Jacob Ferris and Trevor Pahl; sisters, Patricia Diaz of Batavia, and Margaret (Frank) Zambito of Elba. several nieces and nephews also survive.

Family and friends are invited to attend Richard 's Funeral Mass at 11:00 am on Friday, (April 8th, 2022) from St. Joseph's Church, 303 East Main Street in Batavia.  Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery with military honors will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
