  Frank Riganotti, 86, of Batavia passed away after a long battle with dementia on Tuesday April 12, 2022. He was born in Sicily on February 13, 1936 to the late Dominico and Nicolina (Barone) Riganotti. In addition to his parents, Frank is predeceased by his wife: Annette (DiPiazza) Riganotti and twin granddaughters Cara and Cristine Fazio.

He is survived by his daughter; Nickie (Jim) Fazio of Batavia, daughter Maria Zaranek of Alden, son Dominic Riganotti of Florida; sibling Maria D’Anna of Sicily; grandchildren James and Ryan Fazio, Collin and Caitlyn Zaranek, along with many nieces and nephews.

Before his retirement, Frank was employed at Soccio and DellaPenna in Batavia as a construction worker, where he worked for 15 years. In his spare time he was an avid gardener and loved making his own wine. He also loved spending time with his family and friends, and most of all his beloved grandchildren. He loved spending time outside working in his garden, taking care of his fruit trees, grape vines, and his lawn. He also loved going to the casino with his friends and family.

There will be no prior calling hours. A 9:30AM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday April 19, 2022 at Resurrection Parish 18 Ellicott St. Batavia, NY 14020 (formerly St. Mary’s Church). Entombment will be at St. Joseph’s Mausoleum following the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org and/or Genesee Cancer Assistance 127 North St. Batavia, NY 14020.
