Irma F. Hurst , age 86, of Castile passed away on Monday May 9, 2022 at home. She was born on April 12,1936 in Buffalo, NY a daughter to the late Walter J. and Ella Viola ((Durkee) Fox.
Irma was a 1952 graduate of Fosdick Masten High School in Buffalo.

She was a sales representative for Avon Products for many years, worked as a realtor for the former Ray Baker Real Estate, former Librarian at the Wyoming Public Library, helped with her husband on running the Hurst Acres Dairy farm on Fisher Road in Warsaw from 1972-2000.  Irma was a member of the United Church in Warsaw where she played the organ from 1974-2010. She had a total of 68 years playing organ for churches in Buffalo to Honeoye. She was a member of the Warsaw Eastern Star for many years. She enjoyed taking care of all her grandchildren before the entered school. She enjoyed cooking, baking, the love of music and gardening.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years John R. Hurst whom she married on November 7, 1953, son: John W. (Debbie) Hurst of Wyoming, daughter: Rebecca S. (Thomas) Bush of Perry, 6 grandchildren: Amanda (Scott) Savidge, Jared (Jennifer) Hurst, Lauren Shearing, Colin (Andie) Shearing, Mikayla and Matthew Bush, 4 great grandchildren Justin and Brennan Savidge, Clare Hurst and Bryson Shearing, along with many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents she was predeceased in death by a son: Paul S. Hurst who passed away in 2000, siblings: Pearl Thompson, Inez Houseknecht and Leonard Fox.

Family and friends may call from 10:00AM-2:00PM on Friday May 13th at Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main St Perry, NY 14530,  where Funeral Services will follow at 2:00PM.
Irma will be laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery in Perry.

The family would like to thank her dedicated caregiver of 3 years Bridget Flint.
