Joyce C. Worthington passed away peacefully in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on August 5, 2022. She leaves behind her husband of 33 years, Edward Worthington of Batavia.

She is survived by her daughters, Paula (Jim) Dean of East Bethany, and Debbie (Don) Weis of Batavia. Additionally, she is survived by her step-children, Jerry Worthington, Judy Harper, Scott (Carolyn) Worthington, and Mike Worthington, all of Arizona. She is also survived by 2 sisters; Geri (Jim) Meyers of New Hampshire, and Bev Perry of Hunt, NY. Joyce will be sadly missed by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Paul Gatgen; her sister, Marjorie Hollister; and her brothers, Richard and Donald Kuhn.

Joyce was a registered nurse for 40 years; her career beginning in Warsaw and taking her to Batavia, Arizona, and Florida, where she retired. She enjoyed traveling, entertaining, family parties, movies, her NY Yankees and Buffalo Bills. She loved to celebrate all occasions. Joyce and Ed attended Northgate Free Methodist Church.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the wonderful and caring staff at The Manor House as well as the 2nd Floor nursing staff at UMMC Batavia. Your unwavering dedication and caring for her will never be forgotten.

There will be no calling hours, a graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Crossroads House of Batavia or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in memory of Joyce.
