Mrs. Skotnicki was born December 5, 1948 in Buffalo, a daughter of the late Frank M. Raczka and Helen S. (Papaj) Raczka.
Elaine was extremely proud of her Polish heritage and enjoyed polish food, polka dancing, and celebrating Dyngus Day. For 19 years Elaine worked as an Assistant Branch Manager of Marine Midland Bank at Broadway Market in Buffalo; followed by several years working for Wyoming County. Mrs. Skotnicki served Wethersfield as Town Justice for over 25 years and was a former member of the State Magistrates Association.
Elaine is the wife of the late Robert E. Skotnicki; and sister of the late Michael F. Raczka.
Surviving is her daughter, Lisa (Michael) Kelichner Portelli of New Hampshire; grandchildren, Gianna and Dominic Portelli; brother, Clifford (Michelle) Raczka of Florida; and nephews, Harry, Thomas, and Jeffrey.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, (August 31, 2022) from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at Robinson And Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main Street in Warsaw. Elaine's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday (September 1, 2022) at 10:00 am in St. Michael's Church, 171 N. Main Street in Warsaw. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery in Wethersfield Springs will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Java Fire Company Rescue Squad.
