On September 30, 2022 at age 86, Nancy Baker completed her journey home with the help of Hospice surrounded with love by her family and accompanied by the thoughts and prayers of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law, and a grandson.
The Bakers moved to LeRoy NY in 1963 where, with Nancy’s help and guidance, Bruce opened his Family Practice. Over the next fifty plus years Nancy embedded herself into the fabric of LeRoy. Her many activities included School Board president: Woodward Memorial Library Board, numerous Village, Town, and County committees, an extensive history of volunteerism, and as an involved member of St Mark’s Church. As important as LeRoy was to Nancy, her biggest commitment was to her family and friends.
In 2019 they moved to St John’s Brickstone Active Senior Community in Brighton, NY, bringing part of LeRoy with them and leaving part of themselves in LeRoy.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, Oct. 8 from 3 ~ 7 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake St. Rd., LeRoy. Her Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 12:00 PM at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 1 E. Main St., LeRoy.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Nancy are suggested to the Woodward Memorial Library, 7 Wolcott St., LeRoy, NY 14482
