  Steven H. Duckworth, 70, of Dunkirk passed away on October 5, 2022 at UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA. He was born on January 14, 1952 in Batavia to the late Howard and Elsie (Humel) Duckworth. In addition to his parents, Steven is predeceased by his loving wife of 36 years; Linda (Lord) Duckworth; and brother Richard Duckworth.

Steven was known as “The Shack Man” as he worked and ran RadioShack in Dunkirk for over 20 years. He was also a professional guitarist for a living for many years playing in multiple bands in his career including Gypsy, Citizen Band, Rick Haitz Trio and Striker. Playing his guitar and spending time with his family at their family cottage on Black Lake were paramount.

Steven is survived by his children; Steven (Emily) Duckworth of West Seneca, NY, Taylor (Austin McCool) Duckworth of Dunkirk, Melissa (John) Ladd of Batavia and Jaime (Eric) Koziarski of Batavia; grandchildren Mason Turner, Jessie Leone, Lieutenant Gage Burton, Dillion (Andrea) Beverly, Megan Ladd, Zacheriah Smith and Alyce Smith; 2 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday October 8, 2022 from 11:00-1:00PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street Batavia, New York 14020. A 1:00PM Funeral Service will immediately follow visitation at the Funeral Home. Steven will be laid to rest in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Alexander.
