Susan Elizabeth (Page) Ridall

By Lisa Ace

Susan Elizabeth (Page) Ridall was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven after a strong fight with cancer at her home in West Middlebury on September 29, 2022 at the age of 73.
Susie was born at home on Nov. 14, 1948 in Wyoming to the late Harry and Dorothy (Wolcott) Page.

She worked as a resident assistant for 31 years at Genesee County Nursing Home where she took pride in her work and taking care of “her people.” She stopped working to babysit her grandchildren and many other kids. She was a member of the Dale Baptist Church. She was a youth leader where she was known as “Grandma Susie” to many children. She was also a member of Bethany Volunteer Fire department. She catered numerous weddings and made beautiful cakes.

Susie loved a good mystery book, a good bingo game, a serious poker game, and playing cards with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years Howard “Butch” Ridall III. Her daughters Sarah (Todd) Deuel of Wyoming and Betsy (Gary) Farnsworth of Alexander. Her grandchildren Howard “Rocky” Ridall V, Brent Ridall, Mindy Sue (Andy) Bittner, Michelle Ridall (Peter Saxman), Joshua (Kelsey) Farnsworth, and Jacob Farnsworth. Her great grandchildren David and Isabella Bittner, Gemma, Ava and Piper Saxman.

Also surviving are her brothers Ray (Dede) Brad (Judy), Charlie (Diane), Tim (Chris), Doug (Sissy) Page. Her sisters. Sally Page and Candy (Wally) Urf. Her sister-in-law Marlene Page. She is predeceased by her only son Howard “Howie” Ridall IV and her oldest brother Jim Page.

We’d like to say a special thank you to Dr. Lauren Loss for all her help in keeping Mom comfortable. Being always a generous giver Susie donated her body to UB Medical Science.

You are invited to join Susie’s family for a memorial on Saturday Oct. 8, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Dale Baptist Church, located at 1291 Dale Rd, Dale, NY 14039. A light luncheon will be held immediately after the service at Wyoming Fire Hall. In lieu of flowers the family asks you to make donations to Dale Baptist Church or St. Jude.
