Charles L. Sage, 86 of Batavia, passed away peacefully on Friday (November 11, 2022) at the New York State Veterans Home in Batavia.

He was born January 23, 1936 in Batavia, a son of the late William and Elsie Tiede Sage.

Mr. Sage served his country with the U.S. Army from 1958-1960. He was formerly employed by Doehler Jarvis in Batavia prior to his retirement. Charles was a member of the Cornerstone Church in East Pembroke. He enjoyed old classic cars, attending car shows, feeding animals around his home and gardening.  Mr. Sage was also a supporter of his fellow Veteran and would do anything he could for them. He loved his tractor, but most of all enjoyed time spent with family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his loving companion and best friend, Barbara Plock of Virginia. Daughter, Michelle (Bob) Grazioplene of Batavia. Grandchildren, Alex Grazioplene and Lyndsey Grazioplene. Brothers, Duane (Joanne) Sage and Lee (Diane) Sage. Sisters, Marilyn (late William) Kaness, Beverly (Bob) Bobzin and Diane Parker. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late William (Nancy) Sage, Paul (Peggy) Sage, Anita Sage and Eva Jane Sage.

Friends and family are invited to share memories on Thursday (November 17th) from 10am-12pm at the C.B. Beach & Son Mortuary, Inc., 4-6 Main St., Corfu, NY, where a funeral service will commence at 12pm. He will be laid to rest in the North Pembroke Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Church or the Activity Fund of the New York State Veterans Home.
