Mrs. Grazioplena was born Thursday, November 3rd, 1927 in Batavia, New York a daughter of the late Charles Fitsimmons and Dora Fitzsimmons.
Nellie's true passion was caring for her family and she loved being a grandma. She enjoyed reading, and her amazing cooking and baking will be missed forever. Her family would like to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the staff of the North Wing for the kindness, care and compassion they treated Nellie with while she was a resident.
Nellie is predeceased by her husband, Stephen R. Graziaplena and her siblings; Elmer Fitzsimmons, Robert Fitzsimmons and Hazel Fitzsimmons.
Surviving are her children, Brian Graziaplena of Batavia and Beverly (Kim) Wolcott of Oakfield; three granddaughters, Rebecca (Steve) Martin of North Carolina, Katie (Paul) Tobias and Krissy (Jason) Klos, both of Oakfield; six great-grandchildren; her sisters, Lillian Martin of North Carolina and Freda Klotzbach of Kenmore and several nieces and nephews.
There are no prior visiting hours. Nellie 's Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 28th, 2022 at the Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Avenue Oakfield, NY. She will be laid to rest in Reed Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The North Wing of Medina Memorial Hospital, 200 Ohio Street, Medina, New York 14103.
