John Herbert Berndt (born 10/31/1947) passed away at United Memorial Medical Center on July 9th, 2023 after battling cancer. Dusty was a U.S. Navy Veteran who served honorably from 1965 to 1969. Dusty was a quiet man who enjoyed drinking his coffee on the porch and watching the birds. He loved hunting with his brother Tom and spending time at their cabin, he enjoyed playing cards, fishing with his grandkids, being on his boat, camping with Janet in their camper, and gardening with his granddaughter Paige. He was an avid NFL watcher and was known for always knowing the score at his grandchildrens youth sporting events. He loved old westerns and was a fan of John Wayne. He had a sense of humor that usually only his daughter Jennifer appreciated and shared!
