Oakfield - Ralph Bauer, 84 of Oakfield passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Crossroads House in Batavia, New York.
Ralph was born Wednesday, December 28th, 1938 in Lockport, New York a son of the late George C Bauer and Georgianna (Rossman) Bauer-Allen.
Ralph served his country as an US Marine and volunteered at the Alabama Fire Department for over 60 years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Batavia for 11 years, enjoyed reading his bible, witnessing to the unsaved, painting his artwork, gardening, and hunting with his son. Ralph enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and stepchildren, grandchildren and step grandchildren.
He retired from Amada Tool in Batavia as a machinist and worked for Batavia Machine and Tool in Batavia for more than 30 years.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Mary Peterson Mumford of Oakfield; children, Ronald (Jannene) Bauer of Oakfield and Linda (Joe) Ferris of Churchville; grandchildren, Bethany Ferris of Churchville, Kala (Jimmy) Sechrist of Brighton, stepchildren and step grandchildren; siblings, Gary (Jane) Bauer of Akron, Jeanie (Tom) Fuller of Medina, Don (Marianne) Allen of Greece, and David (Carol) Allen of Batavia; sister in law, Connie Bauer of Alexander and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In death Ralph is reunited with his wife, Helen Bauer; parents, George C Bauer and Georgianna Bauer-Allen; siblings, Richard Bauer and Shirley Sheeler
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Calvary Baptist Church, 3515 Galloway Rd, Batavia. NY. Ralph’s funeral service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 3515 Galloway Rd, Batavia, NY on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 10:00am. Burial will be immediately after the funeral service in Alabama Cemetery. The family has invited everyone to a reception following the burial at Calvary Baptist Church, 3515 Galloway Rd, Batavia. NY.
