Sharon E. Pinney, 80, of Port St. Lucie, FL and formerly of Batavia, NY, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023 at HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital in Port St. Lucie, FL.

Sharon was born March 23, 1943, in Buffalo, a daughter of the late Charles and Audrey (Henderson) Rose.

Sharon was an active member of St. James Episcopal Church in Batavia prior to relocating to Pt. St. Lucie.  Sharon enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  Sharon was an avid music lover and played the organ. Her children have fond memories of seeing Sharon dancing to Elvis songs in their living room.  She more recently took up crochet and would knit lap blankets for donation along with gifts for her family.  

Surviving is her husband, Ronald Pinney of Port St. Lucie, FL; children, Stephen (Mina) Pinney of Columbus, OH, Jill (Peter) Scroger of Batavia and Daryl (Tammy) Pinney of Macedon, NY; a brother, Kenneth (Joyce) Rose of Williamsville; seven grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her sisters, Karen Wacker, Audrey Anderson, Patricia Pearson and a brother, Charles Rose.

Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, October 4 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street in Batavia.  Sharon's funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 5 at St. James Episcopal Church, 405 East Main Street, Batavia.  Sharon will be laid to rest in a private service at Elmlawn Memorial Park in Buffalo.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation (komen.org).
