John F. Flint

LeRoy ~ John F. Flint, age 86, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.

     He was born April 18, 1937 in Batavia, N.Y., a son of the late Kenneth and Elsie Vitale Flint.

  John will be remembered as a very caring and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and dear friend to many.  He was dedicated to his faith and community, which was represented by his loyalty as a 61 year Mason member and served as Right worshipful Grand Steward from 2018-2021 and his membership in the LeRoy Baptist Church for over 55 years.  John served his country honorably with the US Army from 1963 – 1965. He also served the residents of Genesee County as the Deputy County Treasurer for 19 years and County Treasurer for 10 years.  John enjoyed gardening and had a love for birds, especially hummingbirds.

     He will be sadly missed by his children, LouAnn (Al) Falcon, Tom (Deb) McCullough and Peter (Ann) McCullough; longtime companion, Phyllis Caccamise; brother-in-law, David Gluck; sister-in-law, Sarah Flint, along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

     In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Louise (McCullough) Flint, brother, Ret. Col. Robert Flint and sister, Joanne Gluck.

     Family and friends may call on Saturday, November 4 from 12 ~ 3 P.M. at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake St. Rd., LeRoy. Services for the family will be private. John will be laid to rest at the Western NY National Cemetery in Pembroke at a later date.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to a charity or organization of the donor’s choice.
