Louise A. Capuano, 92 of Batavia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday (May 20, 2025) at Premier Genesee Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. 

She was born March 3, 1933 in Batavia, NY, a daughter of the late Louis and Angeline Butera Grasso.

Family was the focal point of her life and she enjoyed spending time with them. Building her family and continuing with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved traveling with her husband, going to OTB to bet on horses, play poker with family and she loved Sunday lunches.

She was the wife of the late Larry Capuano who passed away December 11, 2011. Mother of the late David and Gary (late Laura) Capuano. Grandmother of the late David Capuano and sister of the late Pat, Joseph, Andrew, Frank and Sam Grasso, Madeline Gabriel and Maryjane Mruczek.

Survivors include her sons, Dennis (Pam) Capuano of Alexander and Donald (Cheryl) Capuano of Byron. Daughters, Linda (late James) Baker of Batavia and Karen Capuano of LeRoy. Sister, Sr. Virginia Marie Grasso, RSM of Buffalo. Also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are cordially invited to share in her Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday (May 28th), 11am at Resurrection Parish, 303 East Main St., Batavia. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in St. Joseph Cemetery.
