Gordon L. Montgomery, 66 of Batavia, passed away on May 23, 2025 at Rochester General -Hospital. He was born October 29, 1958 in Corning, to the late Gordon E. and Alice A. (Weitzel) Montgomery. He is preceded in death by siblings, Rodney and Gary Montgomery, Carol Nichols and sister-in-law Monica Montgomery.
Gordon was a proud United States Army Veteran and member of the American Legion. He worked for many years as an Operating Engineer. Gordon was an avid motorcyclist with many close friends that he loved to ride with. He also enjoyed fishing at the Sand Wash, flying drones and anything electronic.
He is survived by his son, Gordon L. (Fiancé Alexis) Montgomery II of Rochester, brother Dale Montgomery, sister-in-law Vicky Montgomery and brother-in-law Richard Nichols, along with 7 nieces, 4 nephews, many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 11am to 12:45pm where a service will immediately follow 12:45pm at Gilmartin Funeral Home, 329-333 West Main Street, Batavia, NY 14020. He will be laid to rest in Western New York National Cemetery, Corfu.
