Bernard L. Vosburg

Bernard L. Vosburg, of Bergen, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 10th, 2025, at the age of 96. Born on August 21st, 1928, in Centerville, New York, Bernard lived the life he wanted to live.

Bernard proudly served his nation as a member of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. His sense of duty and commitment extended beyond his military service into his professional life. He spent many years as an Operations Manager with Laidlaw Transit, Inc. in Batavia, New York, and was also a valued employee at Batavia Agway for 26 years and Becker Bus in Attica for 7 years.

An active member of his community, Bernard was involved with several veterans' organizations, including the Glenn S. Loomis American Legion Post No. 322 and the Veness-Strollo VFW Post No. 1602.

Bernard is survived by his children, Brenda (Scott) Vosburg and Rex (Susan) Vosburg, his brother, Bradley Vosburg, grandchildren Kate (Sean) Meigs, Kyle (Natasha) Consolie, Brett (Rachel) Vosburg, and great-grandchildren McKenna, Sienna, and Baby Consolie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wellington and Ethel Vosburg, his beloved companion Wilma Robinson, and his siblings Bernita Hodnett, Betty Bennett, and Barbara Crosby.

In accordance with Bernard's wishes, there will be no prior calling hours. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. He will be laid to rest in Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Romulus. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bernard's memory can be made to VFW Post No. 1602, 25 Edwards Street, Batavia, New York 14020.
