Terry L. Hartwick

Hartwick

Varysburg- Terry L. Hartwick, 76, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 30th, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on November 24th, 1948, a daughter to the late Thaddeus and Shirley (Hubert) Butler.

Terry is survived by her loving spouse, Henry; children, Joseph Spiritosanto and Laura (Robert) Johnston; grandchildren, Michael, Alexis (Justin), and Samantha; and her brothers, Mark (Helen) Huebert, Robert (Linda) Huebert, and Raymond Huebert. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Carol, Billy and Jimmy.

Terry thrived in the oasis of her backyard, where she spent hours tending to her gardens, filling bird feeders, and building bonfires. Quality time with her family meant the most to her-- laughing over stories, indulging with a glass of wine as cherished memories were made. Terry traveled by planes, trains, and automobiles to bake Christmas cookies with her grandkids. She went grocery shopping, and returned home with a rescued puppy. Terry sang back to her well-fed birds, and clapped in the evening twilight to illuminate the fireflies. She dressed up for Halloween and let the kids have sugar rushes. Her genuine smile uplifted a room; her laughter caused us all to get a dangerous case of the giggles. And the feel of her blue eyes on you made you feel like one in a million-- because to her, you were.

In honor of Terry's beautiful spirit and commitment to making a difference, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the ALS Foundation: The ALS Association National Office Attn: One Dollar Difference Gift Processing Center PO Box 37022 Boone, IA 50037.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Marley Funeral Home. There will be no prior calling hours or services.

Terry L. Hartwick will be remembered for her kindness, her unwavering love for her family, and her dedication to her passions. She touched countless lives and her legacy will continue through the telling of stories and sharing of memories.
