Robert (Bob) Gordon Morris of Batavia, New York, passed away unexpectedly on June 7, 2025, at the age of 64.

Bob was born and raised in Warsaw, New York where he graduated from Warsaw High School in 1979.

Bob served as a machinist in the United States Navy from 1980 to 1984 and then worked at Corfu Machine for 37 years before retiring in 2024.

Bob was easygoing and had a sense of humor that he shared with his friends and family. He was an avid Drum Corps International fan and played the drums in the Cadets of Greece Drum and Bugle Corps out of Rochester New York.

Bob loved going to local dirt track races and Muckdogs baseball games with his son Alex, watching NASCAR with his wife and friends and cheering on the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres. He loved to read adventure and crime fiction novels, and he enjoyed delivering jokes and eyerolling puns.

Bob is predeceased by his Father Gordon Robert Morris, Mother Mary Follett Hall and Stepfather Marvin Hall, and Father-in-law Douglas Cook. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Anne Cook Morris, son Alex Morris, Sisters Lisa Morris and Carol Makley, Mother-in-law Suzanne Cook, Stepbrother Matthew Hall, Sisters-in-law Linda Cook Mooney, Suzette Cook, and Julie Hall and six nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Monday, June 16th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at J. Leonard McAndrew Funeral Home, LLC, 2 Bogue Avenue in Batavia, New York. Military honors will be rendered at 5pm.

 In lieu of flowers, Bob’s family encourages friends and family members to attend and support local sporting events. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.mcandrewfuneralhomes.net.
