James M. “Jim” Zak, 74, of Attica passed away Tuesday September 15, 2015 at Buffalo General Hospital. om  Ho He was born September 14, 1941 in Batavia, New York to the late Michael (Agnes Pelton) Zak.

Jim worked as a carpenter since he was 19 working on many houses in the Attica and surrounding areas. He played softball for several years and loved playing sports with his grandchildren. He cheered on his Bills and Sabres and liked any team that beat the Yankees.

He is survived by his loving wife Cynthia L. (Krager) Zak; children Joe (Shalyn) Zak of Attica, Jessica (Bob) Caplick of Orangeville; brother Tom Zak of Attica, sisters Mary (Rick) Smith of Batavia, Elaine Zak of Attica, Becky (Phil) Walker of Warsaw; grandchildren Joe, Jetta and Alyssa; several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Ti-Bear.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday September 21, 2015 from 5:00-8:00PM at Marley Funeral Home, LLC 135 Main Street Attica, New York 14011. Services will be held private.
