Betty J. Gautieri, 86 of Batavia, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 3, 2015 at LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home. She was born August 15, 1929 in Batavia to the late Harold (Marion Tully) Quartley. She is preceded in death by her brothers Gerald, William, Robert, John, Harold Quartley and sister Lois Kisiel.

Betty worked for 55 years at Batavia Tailors & Cleaners. She was an avid New York Yankee Fan. Betty loved to cook and entertain for family and friends. Family was her everything especially being GeGe to Summit and Kamryn.

She is survived by her daughters Kathy (Jim) DuRei; Vicki (Gary) Johnson; sister Dorothy Quartley all of Batavia; grandchildren Michael Johnson, Katie (Bryan) Fenton both of Rochester; Kristie (Jimmy) DeFreze of Batavia; great-grandchildren Summit and Kamryn, along many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday October 6, 2015 from 1-3 and 6-8 PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street Batavia, New York 14020. Prayers will be recited 9:30 AM on Wednesday October 7, 2015 at the Funeral Home followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Ascension Parish 15 Sumner St. Batavia, NY 14020. She will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Batavia.
