Margaret Ann Morasco

Batavia - Margaret Ann Morasco, 91, of Batavia, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Crossroads House.

Mrs. Morasco was born September 25, 1924 in Ashley, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Joseph Edward and Sarah Ann Duffy McCann.

A member of St. Joseph's Church, Mrs. Morasco enjoyed painting, reading, ceramics and writing in her journals.

She will be remembered by her family as being the "quiet one" who loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Michael Morasco, passed away on February 7, 2006. They were married on October 19, 1946.

She is survived by her children, Pat (Ken) Roblee of Corfu, Michael Morasco, Vincent Morasco, Rev. James (Martha) Morasco and  Brian (Teressa) Morasco all of Batavia; four brothers,  Edward McCann of New Hampshire, Joseph McCann of New Jersey,  Fr. Thomas McCann of Scranton, Pennsylvania and  John (Mary) McCann of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania; her sister, Patti (Frank) Palumbo of Washington, DC;two brothers-in-law, Greg Hurley of Washington, DC and Frank (Angela) Morasco of Mooresville, North Carolina; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her sister, Stella Hurley.

There are no prior visiting hours. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 12, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 303 East Main Street, Batavia.  In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to Crossroads House, P.O.
