Geraldine A. Foster, 84 of Batavia, died Thursday February 27, 2014 at the Batavia Health Care Center. She was born May 17, 1929 in LeRoy to the late Learine (Helen Randolph) Fuller. Ms. Foster worked for many years at Ebling Laundry. She was a past member of the Salvation Army. She is preceded in death by her special friends Myron Bogue and David Ebling, sisters Shirley Munt, Doris Wozniak, Betty, Gertrude and Mildred Fuller.

Ms. Foster is survived by sisters Mary Snyder of Batavia, along with many nieces and nephews. 

Friends are invited to call on Sunday March 2, 2014 from 1 to 2 PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street Batavia, New York 14020. Faye Jane Frances Kelly, age 75, of Perry Center, died Thursday February 27, 2014 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw. She was born in Livonia Center, New York on January 23, 1939, a daughter of the late Dudley and Lanie Elizabeth (Ball)Mann Sr. Faye was a waitress for the former Olympus Restaurant in Avon, she retired in 2001. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Perry Center, and a member of the Perry VFW and Vets Club. She enjoyed reading, bird watching, cooking, and doing crossword puzzles. She is preceded in death by children Martin Unamann, Virginia Unamann-Lane; siblings John Sylvester Mann, Dudley Mann Jr., Betty Levey and Alice Schmidt.

She is survived by her husband Frederick “Red” Kelly of Perry, Center, 3 children: Robert (Bobby Massengall) Unamann of Ridgeland, SC, Judith Birchenough of Beaufort, SC., Sandra (Fay) Unamann of Avon, 3 step-children: Jeffrey Kelly of Perry, Linda Maust and Todd Kelly both of Florida, 3 siblings: Edith Hill of Honeoye Falls, Gene Mann of New Hampshire, and Regina Davis of Florida, 6 grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

Rose L. Blair, 83 of Varysburg, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Wyoming County Community Hospital. She was born on January 24, 1931 in Warsaw to the late John (Mary Janik) Satola. Mrs. Blair worked at the Byrncliff Resort & Conference Center in Varysburg for 46 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Bennington Center. Rose enjoyed raising chickens and geese as well as gardening. She was a devoted fan of Earnest Tubb and John Wayne. Rose had a love for music, teaching her children to play many instruments especially her favorite instrument the fiddle. She loved babies, all babies, her children and grandchildren often referring to them as her “Little Dupies”.

She is preceded in death by her husband Robert A. Blair who passed in 1990, daughter Janet Blair, grandson Todd Thornton, brothers Frank, Stanley and Steven Satola, sisters Katherine Satola, Mary Wagner and Sophie Widelski.

Mrs. Blair is survived by sons Kenneth (Cindi); Wayne (Judy) both of Varysburg; Roger Blair of Bennington; daughters Joanne (David) Thornton of Attica; Patricia (Scott) Meidenbauer of Varysburg; Susan (Tracy) Mallon of Bennington; brothers Raymond (Agatha) Satola of OH; Leonard (Alice) Satola of Depew; sister Helen Pierce of Alden; 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

Hannelore “Lore” Easterbrook, 67, of Batavia, died Monday (February 24, 2014) at Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport, NY.

She was born June 26, 1946 in Schwabisch Hall, Germany, a daughter of the late Josef and Margarete Hauser Zettl.

Lore was employed by Terry Hills Restaurant & Banquet Facility in Batavia for several years and enjoyed being with not only the people she worked with but also the people she served.  She was a fun, loving and vibrant person.  She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra White of Pueblo, Colorado. Two sons, Lynn Wood of Batavia and Spencer Zerger of Denver, Colorado.  Also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Debra A. Chaplin, 57 of Gainesville, passed away February 26, 2014 at Highland Hospital in Rochester. She was born August 17, 1956 in Batavia to the late John (Elanor Schiller) Wassink. Deb worked at the Glen Iris Inn at Letchworth State Park. She was an avid gardener, loved flowers, scrapbooking and raising dogs. She loved to cook and had collected over 300 cookbooks. Deb was very artistic and enjoyed doing crafts.

She is survived by her beloved husband Ronald Chaplin of Gainesville, son John and daughter Misty Chaplin both of Attica; brothers Terry, Tom (Cathy) Wassink both of FL; Tim (Paula) Wassink of Attica; four grandchildren Hannah, Jakk, Jaik Chaplin; Landyn Elliott, along with several nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior calling hours. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM on Monday March 3, 2014 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ 11 Washington St. Attica, NY 14011.

THEOPHIL "TED" KAISER - Age 86, former Byron Constable and Code Enforcement Officer, died peacefully Tuesday evening February 25, 2014 at the home of his daughter under the care of Hospice and his family. He was born May 15, 1927 in Buffalo, NY to the late Robert and Augusta Elfreda (Shumacher) Kaiser, also preceded in death by a his wife, Jean (Howe) Kaiser in 2004;  brother, Friedhelm Robert Amiel Kaiser and sister, Clara Lathrop.

   Mr. Kaiser was a member of the North Bergen Presbyterian Church and enjoyed singing in the choir, member of the former Moose Club and Byron Kiwanis Club. He was a part time farmer, worked for Household Finance and Monroe Tractor. Ted enjoyed fishing, reading, travelling, car racing, baseball, his Byron community and friends at the Byron Hotel. Most important was his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren

   He is survived by his devoted children, Barbara (Dr. Duane) Scarborough of Batavia; Katherine (George) Irving of Syracuse and Rev. Mark (Lori) Kaiser of Pittsford; 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Lawrence Lathrop of Byron along with several nieces, nephews.

   Family and friends may visit from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. on Saturday March 1, 2014 at the North Bergen Presbyterian Church where Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 p.m.  Burial will be in North Byron Cemetery, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Byron Rescue Squad or HomeCare & Hospice 29 Liberty Street Batavia, New York 14020.

Kathleen M. McGee, 80 of Batavia, passed away on Wednesday February 26, 2014 at the Leo Center for Caring in Rochester. She was born on July 25, 1933 in Batavia, to the late Edmund P. (Ida M. Pfundstein) Marshall. Mrs. McGee worked as an X-Ray Technician at St. Jerome’s Hospital for 30 years and managed the interpreters at the Genesee Country Village & Museum for 20 years. She was a longtime member of Resurrection Parish and St. Joseph’s Sodality. She belonged to the Seven Springs Association, Holland Land Office and enjoyed quilting. She is preceded in death by her husband James N. McGee who passed in 1992; granddaughter Bryn McGee, brother Edmund Marshall, sisters Claire Hermance and Lillian Kimaid. 

She is survived by sons John N. (Jane) McGee of SC; Michael E. (Laurie) McGee of NC; daughters Eileen M. McGee of Batavia; Mary Ellen (Jason) Reardon of Batavia; sister Theresa Kelly of Albion; sister-in-law Dorothy Marshall of RI; 10 grandchildren, Matthew, Robert, Zachary McGee; Hilary (Galen) Hurl; Cooper Hawley; Brian (Staci Ball) Ellingham; Kathryn (Allen) Greene; James, Thomas, Sean Reardon; 4 great-grandchildren Galen Michael; Elizabeth, Calista & Emma Hurl, along with many nieces and nephews.

Tracy Anne Ayers, 51, of Basom, died Monday (FEB. 24, 2014) at her residence after a lengthy illness.  
 
She was born in Batavia on November 29, 1962, a daughter of the late Leland and Olive Snyder Brant.  
 
Tracy was a member of the Wolf Clan and the proprietor of the Wolves Den Smoke Shop in Basom.  She enjoyed attending concerts, bead work and working at her business.  
 
Surviving are two children, Andrea (Elwin) Drew and Bradlee Ayers both of Basom.  Five step children, Margaret (Noel) Bolock of N. Tonawanda, Kevin (Amanda) Ayers, Tanya (Joe) Garcia and Shannon Castro all of Buffalo and Kristin (Robert) Hameister of Lockport.   Sister, Sandi Brant of Basom.  Two grandchildren, eight step grandchildren cousins and a nephew.

Elaine F. Mondziel, 75, of Batavia, passed away Saturday evening (February 22, 2014) at United Memorial Medical Center.

She was born in Batavia, NY on July 12, 1938, a daughter of the late Frank and Frances Price Mondziel.

Elaine was a graduate of Notre Dame High School and McCulley School of Nursing.  She was a nurse for United Memorial Medical Center prior to her retirement.

Survivors include two brothers, Frank Mondziel of Batavia and Robert (Marlene) Mondziel of Richmond, VA.

There will be no prior visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, 10am at Ascension Parish (Sacred Heart Church).  Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Jennie K. Allbright, age 87 of Pike, died Wednesday February 19, 2014 at her home in Pike surrounded by her family. She was born in Pike, NY on October 21, 1926 a daughter of the late Charles A. and Doris Dunning King Newcomb. She was a 1944 graduate of Kenmore High School. She worked for the former Motorola in Arcade. She was a member of the Pike Community Church in Pike and the Pike Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed being a mother and grandmother to her family members. She is preceded in death by brothers Edmund, Charles, and Albert King.

She is survived by three sons: David (Meredith) Allbright of Pike, Bruce Allbright of Pike, and Peter (Ruth Ellis) Allbright of Orlando, Fl., 3 sisters: Mary Adamowich and Judy King both of Moline, Ill., and Carol King of Pike, 8 grandchildren: Karen Giles, Peter Allbright, Elizabeth Altoft, Brian Allbright, Jason Allbright, Patricia Millen, Phillip Allbright and Andrew Allbright. 13 great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior calling hours. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. She will be laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery in Pike.
