Morris, Raymond E. 66 of Batavia died March 27, 2011 at Serenity House in Victor. Mr. Morris worked for many years at Delphi in Rochester. He was a United States Marine Veteran.

Survived by wife Patricia Morris; daughter Amber (Fiance Adam Callari) Morris; step-children Michael (Tammy), David (Carrie), Gary (Lisa) Wiest; Joseph (Ashley) Muniz, Debby Owen, Mary (John) Bauer, Beth Muniz; brother Larry (Linda) Morris; sister Carol (Dave) Cullen; step-grandchildren Ryan, Elijah Bauer, Joshua Muniz along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday March 31, at Northgate Free Methodist Church 8160 Bank St. Rd. Batavia, NY 14020.

'Meeting of the Minds' - Scholastic Bowl opens its 32nd year

In the eyes of Cathy Preston, moderator of the Genesee Valley Educational Partnership-sponsored “Scholastic Bowl,” recognizing students for their academic ability is much more than a trivial pursuit.

Preston facilitated the questions and answers on Wednesday night as the high school competition opened its 32^nd year at the television
