A one-vehicle rollover is reported Old Creek Road near Brookville Road. The driver is trapped inside and water from the creek is starting to seep into the vehicle. Alexander Fire Department is responding.
UPDATE 9:10 a.m.: The driver is now out of the vehicle. A medic is needed.
UPDATE 9:30 a.m.: The driver is not injured, but because she is a minor, age 17, she must be transported to the hospital for evaluation. Alexander is back in service. The car is still in the ditch. Law enforcement is on scene. A tow truck is dispatched.
UPDATE 9:38 a.m.: The driver is being taken to UMMC. She is said to have no complaints.

At 17 years old shouldn't she be in school instead of driving around flipping cars? Either way, I'm glad no one got hurt, let this be a lesson learned to her and other young drivers out there. Too many young people getting in accidents and getting hurt, im glad she is Okay.

A lesson to her that she shouldn't be driving? It's not fair to presume she did something wrong to get into an accident.

Bob, do you have her daily schedule in front of you or something? Young drivers have always had a higher incidence rate of accidents and that's reflected in the price of insuring them. My questions instantly drift towards texting while driving whenever I read about young girls getting into car accidents and I bet the police took possession of her cell phone if she had one.
I rolled my mom's Datsun B-210 on November 2nd, 1979, 23 days before my 17th birthday, and contributed to those statistics. The accident happened because of driver inexperience and testosterone. No alcohol or drugs (texting was unheard of for a few more decades) was needed to fuel that rollover. Luckily, I and the 2nd person in the car walked away without a scratch.

You all read too much into other people opinions. I meant lesson learned for other kids as in to be safe out there. I love how you always have something to say about everyone and everything doug. Its people like you who make message boards not fun to express our own opinion. Because apparently, we arent aloud to have one and only your opinion matters.

I didn't badger you or bully you, so why were you bothered by me asking if you had her schedule in front of you? I even made a remark that maybe texting was involved.
